Awakening 04:13
Caught in the light of the rising sun. Who am I? What have I done? And now the cold fills space where blood used to run. Wasted time breeds wasted life, and as I stand here I gasp, my lungs freezing. Is there a place for me in this world? Or am I destined to live in solitude, until my final breath in this life is wasted on my woes? How loud I cried for some respite in my mind, falling victim to the demon inside. There’s no life left in these veins, cut the skin & drain away my pain. All I crave is to feel the sun, just one more day. Not a drop of remorse remains, are you ready to let go? Set the mark, let your vision fade to dark and you'll barely feel a thing. And yet so hesitant, you place the blade at your feet. Your life is wrong, but you will remain strong. This is an awakening. This is an awakening, for you and I. How loud I cried for some respite in my mind, falling victim to the demon inside. There’s no life left in these veins, cut the skin & drain away my pain. All I crave is to feel the sun, just one more day. I have lost near all that I used to know, but I will not let go. Nothing in this life is set in stone, and I know that this curtain call is premature. Undeserved, this hatred reserved for the boy I used to be. Leave, subconscious anomaly. How loud I cried for some respite in my mind, falling victim to the demon inside. There’s no life left in these veins, cut the skin & drain away my pain. All I crave is to feel the sun, just one more day. The flames burn my sorrow, now I rise again from the ashes. The pieces are now in place, so settle in, and reclaim your fate.

I tore my chest in twain so I could see what lay inside, but when all I found was an anxious mess I averted my eyes. Something changed, yet it feels the same; a burning from within. Forsaking my own fortune, I threw caution to the wind. Reform and Converge. All our lives we're told to run; but now you're lost inside the barrel of a gun, just trying to escape the noise. The noise that hope destroys. All our lives we're told to reach for an unseen promise that nobody can keep. Look away from tomorrow's gaze. You are not a burden, so don’t deny that every life has its worth. But we take a different path, and we’re on our own, and everybody hurts. There's a certain set of realities that we all struggle to face, but to pull the plug is to wave the flag, and to wave the flag is to waste. One fall from grace isn't worth the next. If your sanity's spread thin and you can't find the strength to stand, just turn attention inward and take yourself by the hand. Everything is chaos and we may all die alone. But for now we have each other, so let's shout our way home. You are not a burden, so don’t deny that every life has its worth. But we take a different path, and we’re on our own, and everybody hurts. I know the way is obscured, but if you just hold on, We can all be whole, but you must hold on. For even just one more, for even just one more, for even just one more day.

Wasted Years 03:42
Float back, through your memories. Float back, to a simpler time, where good intentions flowed like wine. Deep and red, we always said that we'd keep each others minds from breaking. But I'm shaking, from the caffeine and the stress. It's 4AM, everyone's in bed, and I'm staring at a screen with awful thoughts in my head. Three hours past the last message received, I can feel my hair fall out as I pray silently for relief. My head hits the desk, and I'm awoken scared. I check replies again, but nothing new's been sent. “Just let me go.” Words straight from the mouth of a suffering youth. What can I do, but offer comfort and a quiet plea? Well, three years on and your spark is gone. There's nothing left, nothing left here for me. Oh, how I can see, how your patience wained, as the daylight fades away, Oh, how I wish I'd made the connection, Dejection is a plague that clings to your fate, like a moth to a flame. Float back, and you'll see. You'll see pain shared, and you'll see bodies bared in the name of discontent, covetous. My conscience prevents me from wishing we had never met, but I'm scornful and indignant for all the wasted years I've spent. So etch yourself a tombstone while you burn every bridge you've built with malice. Some things never change, and you will always be a destitute and angry soul.

#bankedbitchestreated When we know this is real, we can fly free, break from the will. Being nothing holds the greatest thrill. They stand to bring a way of life, with their lead and steel, kill hope of progress with a dollar bill. Life's worth can be bought from a man. Reaching pockets, just a sleight of hand. Our loss is someone else's gain, and if we all lose how will things ever change? Think how freedom is something you can buy. All your good times ain't worth a dime, and all your memories won't keep us alive. So play the soldier, they won't tell you wrong. But be good fortune and links will remain strong. Bring hope, bring shelter. Push past all the failure. Take a step back from anguish, this plight is smaller than you'll ever know. So get down and face destiny, and you can pass through the fog with me. So much in life remains unheard, but with some care this existence will flourish. It's in sight, can't we all just see the meaning of life and reality? Bring hope, bring shelter. Push past all the failure. Be strong, be worthy. Open minds and keep moving. Be legend, not story, The journey's forever living, Why can't we just see what is real? Our sights are lost in an endless void. Feel a hand that keeps you moving forward, Its better than the loss and the failing. It's better than the loss and the failing. 'Cause we we're too scared to speak loud, too fearful to feel this world, too broken from reality and what it truly needs. We fight for who we are, but not what we can be, turning blind eyes to what's missing, And we're to scared to speak loud, to fearful to feel this world, too broken from reality and what it truly needs. Fight not for who you are, but all that we can be, and fight for what is missing.

Duplicity 03:51
Duplicity Look back at all the years spent unchanged, Take a step back, see that they are the same. If I could only find the chance to say that you are not okay. Look back at all the years spent unchanged, Take a step back, see that we are the same. If I could only find the time to say that your soul's turning gray, Recklessly inflicting sickening sentiments on all your peers. The consequences you can't see are the hands that shape your reality, Look back at all the years spent unchanged, Can't help thinking we're the cause of the pain, Always searching for another man to blame, Spent years misplacing fame, I can't find the strength to tell you wrong, But you were the problem all along. I’ll mount a mirror on my megaphone to see the face of hypocrisy. Save your regrets for all the rest, Because endless rest is an endless test. Don’t shut me out, I’m not your enemy, So hear me out, ‘cause we’re here to stay. We'll help you all we can, but we won't stand by your side. ‘Cause when the flames burn bright it's such an awful sight, A calling for a guiding light. And when you shout out for aide, make sure you tighten your noose before you claim innocence. I gave my all to be an anchor in this storm, but years of bitter conflict have turned my heart to rust. There's something missing from you, something taken, It's evident from all the friends you've forsaken, Another outlet for your boundless frustration, The anger rises, you can't resist temptation. Save your regrets for all the rest, Because endless rest is an endless test. Don’t shut me out, I’m not your enemy, So hear me out, ‘cos we’re here to stay. No-one bares the spirit truer than a voluntary loss of will. But a spirit bared is a burden shared, and the spirits shared have pardoned none, Hated by everyone, fortitude shunned.
